“Lost Lake” is the name of a strange natural phenomenon in Oregon for which until now there is no explanation.

It disappears every winter, literally speaking expires, even has a hole deep 3 meters through which water flows.

Many scientists have tried to solve this mystery without success.

It is assumed that under the surface there are tunnels of volcanic origin, but still no firm explanation of where the water goes.

“This hole is always here. It is under the earth exist channels. We have been trying to stop the leakage of water from the lake without success. But to succeed in some way, it can make the situation worse because all that water could flood nearby roads, “said Jude McHugh from the organization that oversees the territory which is known as the Willamette National Forest.
