MAN UTD TO REVIVE GRIEZMANN CHASE

Manchester United could revive their chase of Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann, with the club struggling to reach a deal with Real Madrid for Alvaro Morata, according to Metro.

The complicated search for a striker has seen Jose Mourinho’s side linked with Griezmann, Morata and Everton’s Romelu Lukaku.

Lukaku looks set to join Chelsea, however, while Real’s desire to land David de Gea as part of the deal for Morata is a major stumbling block for United.

United’s reported €75 million (£65.1m) asking price for De Gea has put Real off making a bid and they will instead keep faith with Keylor Navas, as well as monitoring the situation of Gianluigi Donnarumma at AC Milan.

MADRID REJECT MAN UTD’S MORATA BID

Manchester United’s approach for Alvaro Morata has been rejected by Real Madrid, according to Sky Sports.

The forward was subject to a bid worth £52.4 million (€60m) by the Red Devils, but that has fallen short of the European champion’s asking price of £78m.
