Dr. Web warned Android users about a new dangerous virus


In the anti-virus laboratory, Dr. Web warned owners of Android-smartphones that hundreds of free applications in the store Google Play are dangerous because they are infected with a dangerous virus BankBot. It is reported that the Trojan is stealing data from bank cards of users and controlling their correspondence from the gadget.

The virus gets on the smartphone of its future victim under the guise of a normal application, after which it destroys its icon from the desktop and starts working in the background.

At the company, Dr. Web noted that at the moment the virus already infected about 400 applications from the official Google store. It is reported that BankBot is able to fully control instant messengers such as WhatsApp and Viber.
